Wumart Group is an online and offline retail group. Its business mainly involves retail trade, e-commerce, Internet/Internet of things technology, logistics and transportation, etc. In recent years, Wumart group has extended its business layout upward, and set up plants for agricultural direct collection.
The plant was built in April last year at an agricultural base in the city of Zhuozhou, Hebei province. The actual use area of the factory is 180 square meters, divided into 5 functional areas, including vegetable cultivation room 96 square meters, 41 sets of planting modules arranged, each group of legs have 6 layers, each layer of effective planting area of 6.48 square meters.

This plant factory mainly cultivates lettuce, cabbage and other green leafy vegetables, through high-tech hydroponic technology, professional purple light LED plant growth lamp irradiation, so that the vegetables grow faster and better, the closed environment is almost not affected by external climate conditions.

In fact, large-scale and refined planting plants in Holland, Japan and other countries have mature technology, and many of them have gradually entered the stage of mass production and regular supply. In China, many enterprises began to introduce "plant factory" related technologies for experimental planting. But plant factories also have the disadvantage of being expensive.
Wumart plants' vegetables cost about rmb70 for 0.5 kg, and the market hasn't been that receptive yet. To reduce the cost of electricity and thus reduce the operating cost has become an urgent problem to be solved in the process of commercialization of plant factories.
Lei you introduced that "smart production" of vegetables in extremely cold or hot areas is a unique application scenario for plant factories. In Places such as Tibet and Xinjiang, it is not suitable for growing vegetables due to environmental factors, and transportation conditions are also limited.
